Planning for active and healthy regional communities

Planning for active and healthy regional communities

Regional healthy planning workshops

The NSW Premier’s Council for Active Living (PCAL) invites you to attend Planning for active and healthy regional communities— a forum aimed at facilitating the planning of active and healthy communities via the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework.

The Integrated Planning & Reporting (IP&R) framework is the principal planning and reporting tool for NSW local councils. By incorporating active living and healthy eating principles within this framework, planning, transport and health professionals can take positive and proactive steps to improve the health of their local communities.

Come and find out what you can do to promote community health and well-being by addressing active living and healthy eating principles as you implement, monitor and review your IP&R framework.

Forum facilitator - Dr Danny Wiggins

Danny has been a planning/local government consultant for twenty seven years, specialising in council management, statutory planning systems and local planning controls. He has worked with all three levels of government and a range of private sector clients. This includes working with the health sector on supportive environments for active living and healthy eating.
